GIS/.NET Developer

Location: NW Washington, DC (Sanametrix Headquarters)

Candidates should be self-motivated and have the ability to architect, design, code, test, and deploy new products. Experience with SQL database management is a plus. The candidate must be comfortable interfacing with clients and have the ability to convey technical terminology to non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) integration and development in .NET environment using ArcGIS Server, Arc Advanced, ArcObjects and ArcGIS Online (Esri's ArcGIS APIs)
  • Experience designing and developing custom web applications in .Net and SQL Server environments
  • Experience developing with Esri’s Web API for JavaScript
  • Experience developing and integrating with Geospatial Map and Web Services

Partner Support Center Analyst

Location: Herndon, VA (Client Site)

Sanametrix, Inc. is a fast-growing small business headquartered in the heart of Washington DC focused on providing custom IT solutions for our clients. We are looking for a Data Support Analyst to join our Sanametrix team. The Partner Support Center (PSC) is the first level of support and response for our clients. The Analyst will troubleshoot and resolve advanced application and content related issues for a national web-based survey collection. The incumbent will work closely with fellow support center team members, managers and network engineers to resolve issues reported by end users. The Analyst will research and develop solutions to newly identified and unresolved issues and provide troubleshooting and expertise to assist with ticket escalation.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with education data and/or experience providing support. Candidates must have experience working within a team environment, possess analytical and problem resolution skills and have clear and demonstrated success with solution implementation. Attention to detail and experience in a service driven environment are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with data collection tools and methodologies and experience working within a technical support environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Respond to and resolve tickets in a timely manner
  • Answer advanced questions about form content
  • Implement policies, procedures, and system controls
  • Provide minor software support/troubleshooting
  • Research and develop solutions to newly identified and unresolved issues
  • Ensure all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls are resolved
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
  • Offer guidance and help users solve common content related questions
  • Document issues and follow up with clients
  • Know when to redirect problems that require escalation
  • Detect patterns of issues, and coordinate with PSC team regarding persistent problems
  • Assist other PSC team members in troubleshooting difficult or time-sensitive problems
  • Escalate tickets where needed to Subject Matter Experts and/or PSC Manager

Technical Job Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding phone manners and consistent pleasant disposition with users
  • Ability to understand escalated content related issues and articulate information and solutions to users
  • Knowledge of helpdesk procedures, ticket resolution, and use of industry standard troubleshooting tools is helpful

.Net Developer

Sanametrix is developing an online survey collection & line-of-business web application using the Microsoft stack for the Department of Education. This is an opportunity to get on at the ground floor with a brand-new project using the latest-and-greatest in .NET and ALT.NET.

The ideal candidate is one who produces results, takes initiative, has strong problem solving skills, is detail-oriented and can work effectively as a team member.

Required Skills:

  • Web development: Experience building a clean, stateless, RESTful n-tier MVC application. Expertise in basic web technologies like HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with the Razor view engine along with jQuery and its dependent libraries.
  • C#: More important than experience with any specific language is the ability to think in both imperative and declarative/functional terms.
  • Relational databases: Thorough knowledge of SQL, table design, stored procedures, etc.
  • ORM: Experience with object persistence is welcome.

Desired Skills:

  • Toolchain: We’re using Git as our SCM, TeamCity for our CI, and JIRA for issue-tracking.
  • Cloud: Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk)
  • Consulting: Ability to turn client business process into an implementable design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test and implement new Windows and web software applications
  • Enhance the performance of application and system
  • Oversee the maintenance of existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript,and C#
  • Create and deliver data-driven reports; Develop project schedules and determine/acquire resources as needed
  • Create technical specifications and test plans
  • Create new and extend existing operational documentation
  • Recommend new processes software and/or systems to improve internal information systems efficiency
  • Serve as liaison between team members and department management

Job Requirements:
